Predictions for Taurus 2013

Spring is really here and flowers are everywhere. It's the time of Taurus. The sign of Taurus embodies our desire to establish and maintain comfort, stability and most of all, prosperity. Those born under the sign of Taurus have the talent of creating a secure and stable life. They are sensible, practical and relaxed even though at times they are stubborn and resistant to change. Here are my predictions for Taurus from birthday to birthday.

This is a year when Taurus is transitioning towards their goals. If you're a Taurus native you will only be somewhat happy to hear this. Taurus is goal oriented and wants a clear path to the good life but you also don't like a lot of change. This year, however, change is the recipe for success. Consider if you changed jobs, moved, expanded your business or went back to school and if any of these changes would propel you faster towards your goals. If you don't want to make big changes then make small ones. Change your workout, change your work hours, change your diet, change your hair. Small changes will also help you move briskly towards your goals.

Your finances become more stable. While it's not perfectly smooth sailing everyday, overall you will find your financial picture improves this year. You will need to review your bills (are you paying too much for services?), look at your investments (is your current adviser really right for you?), and actively remove any psychological blocks to having more money (is it okay to make more than your spouse?). By the end of 2013 you will have more in your accounts and by Spring 2014 you will see more money coming in from several directions. 

Your vehicle needs your attention. Because this is a transition year you need to consider the literal concept of transportation. Perhaps you need a new car, perhaps you want to trade up to sometime more luxurious, or perhaps you're ditching the car for a motorcycle. Whichever you choose find something different to convey you from point A to point B.

Your love life is stable. There's not much change here for those of you in established relationships. Things seem to be humming along without too many surprises or irritants. If you're looking for love you need to vary your methods to stir up the energy otherwise you may be looking and not finding. If you're trying online dating why not switch to meetup groups, and if you are social and still not meeting perhaps a matchmaker is the ticket.

And finally, this year have some fun. Find a new hobby or social activity and spend some quality time with friends. You will benefit from your down time as it will renew your body, mind and spirit.

Predictions for Aries 2013

Happy belated Birthday Aries. I'm back from my book tour and find I've missed half the Aries birthdays out there. Aries is an impatient sign, always wanting to move forward quickly and not be held back by anything. Aries is the first sign (up until about 150 B.C. the new year used to start on the first day of Spring/Aries) so Aries is always the first to arrive and the the first to leave. They are pioneers, innovative and headstrong. Here are the predictions for Aries from birthday to birthday. 

This year the focus is on money. There will be many opportunities coming that will bring you profit. There will also be many opportunities to spend that profit. Keeping track of your money will be important this year if you want to spend less than you make. Earnings will be tied to your sense of self-worth. Value what you do and others will too.

Relationships are intense this year. You may be struggling to figure out why you're holding on to someone who's not making you happy whether they be a personal or business partnership. Those who are currently single will find that ending as well as new, lasting relationships can begin this year.

While you are lucky in money this year you are not lucky in lawsuits. Be careful with contracts and try to settle things by mediation. If you do find yourself in a legal situation buckle down and learn all that you can about it. Leaving it all to the lawyers will just make you poorer.

Your career is improving this year. Talents and abilities you have are recognized and you may get both a promotion and a raise. If you own your own business you show a lot of new customers. Focus on free promotions and grass-roots marketing and avoid signing up for expensive marketing campaigns.

The challenge this year is to get out of your own way. Think about your beliefs regarding money and success and think whether the beliefs you hold are still valid and true. Predictions for Pisces 2013

Pisces, the sign of the fish, represents people who are sensitive and psychic. Sunday's Super Moon

On Sunday, June 23rd, very early in the morning (4:32 AM PDT to be exact) we will have this year's Super Moon. The Super Moon is the one time of the year when the moon is closest to the Earth. In Astrology we call this perigee. Not only will the moon appear larger in the sky, it will have a stronger effect on all of us down here on earth. If you want to catch a glimpse, the moon will rise at 7:27 PM Saturday night.

This particular full moon will be at 2° of Capricorn. But not just those born under the sign of Capricorn will be affected, all signs receive some energy from the Super Moon. So from now until the next full moon in 29 days here's how it could manifest in your life.

Super Moon, Sunday, June 23rd

Aries: you've probably been thinking of making a change in your life and a pretty dramatic one by the looks of things. For this change you show material support, financial support, but unfortunately very little emotional support. But this has not stopped you in the past. It's time to leap. Fortune favors the brave.

Taurus: you've been having a difficult time for the last three months. Many forces have been against you. It's been through sheer will that you have been moving forward at all. But the period of difficulty is coming to an end. This Super Moon is beneficial to you and will bring you energy, helpful people, and actual financial gain (manifesting over the next three months).

Gemini: get ready, you're about to be super busy. You are both finishing up things and trying to plant seeds for new beginnings. It's a lot of juggling right now, fortunately Gemini can handle it. Don't let yourself get stuck or bogged down in a routine. You will need to be versatile and ready to shift gears now especially around a financial project or contract.

Cancer: a full moon in Capricorn means the Sun is in Cancer, so the Sun is in your sign highlighting your talents and abilities (and bringing you your birthday). There are lots of relationship opportunities for you coming in the next four weeks. If you're looking for new relationship you can easily find one (and someone from your past is returning as well). While you're good at listening to your heart, this time listening to your head and go with something new rather than repeating an old mistake.

Leo: you've taken a beating over the last three months, it seems that every obstacle that could happen has been in your way. You had to make changes and adjustments and right now you will benefit by continuing to be flexible. But good news is coming. In as little as two weeks the tide is turning in your favor. Now that you're nearly through the woods don't let your anger and frustration burn down the forest.

Virgo: you've been putting a lot of pressure on yourself lately and while you might feel this motivates you it's actually very hard on you emotionally and physically. Time to lighten up and consider a vacation (if you haven't had one in a long time you may want to look up the word). Libra: just as you are pulling your act together and feeling you really have things under control now you're starting to be yanked in multiple directions. Time to take out the Libra scales and balance out your day giving time to your obligations to others and to yourself. Scorpio: your financial prospects are really improving, even if you can't see it yet. But as you been working so hard you may have been neglecting caring for yourself. Sagittarius: the next four weeks are going to be a very social time for you. You may be having lots of visitors or you are traveling to family and friends. Don't buy in until your absolute sure.

Capricorn: this Super Moon belongs to you, bringing you energy and opportunity. A financial opportunity you have been waiting for now has a chance to manifest. But until the contracts signed or the check is delivered pay heed to your intuition and if something feels funky investigate before closing the deal. Work opportunities abound. And if you're hiring, you have several good candidates coming.

Aquarius: if you have real estate up for sale it is likely you'll be getting an offer (unless it's raw land, which may not receive any nibbles until the fall). This is a good month to get paperwork in order, especially taxes and investments. There will also be some changes at work which though seem disruptive at first will end up being positive for you and your career.

Pisces: this Super Moon is beneficial to you bringing you increased closeness with your family. There will be a happy family get-together and some big announcement. You also show travel over the next two months. If traveling in early July make sure your luggage has your name and address on it, because it seems to be taking a different flight.

Aquarians are very social and yet pride themselves on being unique and standing out from the crowd. They are rebellious yet have a love for scientific protocol. Capricorn Predictions for 2013

Happy Birthday Capricorn. It's a fact that Capricorn is one of the more difficult signs to be. You're hardworking, serious and always accepting the position of leadership and responsibility. Plus your birthday is right around Christmas so your party gets lumped in with all the other holiday parties. Capricorns are always climbing the ladder of success. They are role models, pragmatic and they seem to get younger as the rest of us get older. Here are the annual predictions for those born under the sign of Capricorn.

It's both a money AND career year for Capricorn. Money and the acquisition of wealth is the focus this year and you will find lots of help if you ask. There will be several opportunities for new sources of income in the coming months.

Mayan Calendar December 2012

So the world's going to end this month...at least according to the Mayan Calendar. And since the Mayans actually predicted their own demise and the end of their civilization lots of people are paying attention to what this will mean for us.What will happen on 12/12/12 or 12/21/12?

The Mayan Calendar, which dates back to before the 5^th century BCE, predicts the energy of future days. Each day is represented by a combination of symbols, there were 20 days in a “week”, 18 months in the year plus five days at the end of the year (called dangerous days). The whole calendar is set in a wheel and this wheel is coming to the end of a 5,125 year cycle. This, along with the Venus Occultation we had earlier this year, signifies the end of the calendar itself. 

Predicting using the Calendar: The Mayan people used the calendar to read the future. They used it to see when there would be war and when there would be peace. They could see when there would be abundance and when there would be lack. They could see when there would be lots of new children and times when there were less. It was like our Farmer's Almanac or Astrological transits, it gives an indication of things to come.

So let's be Mayan for a second and we are producing our predictive calendar. We look forward and everything, year after year, decade after decade, millennium after millennium, adheres to a familiar cycle. People are growing crops, trading with close neighbors, moving around by riding animals or on carts pulled by animals. People live in small villages, getting together and having children, eating a lot in the fall, nearly starving in Winter and in Spring starting the cycle again. Everything continued on this familiar cycle until about the 1800's. And then everything started to look very unfamiliar.

When we look at today what do we see? Only parts of the world would seem familiar to the ancient Mayans. In other parts there would be people zipping along in metal boxes and soaring through the air in metal tubes. They would be focused on the shiny square in their hands and shiny boxes on their desks. People talking but ignoring the people around them. In some parts of the world there would be so much food during winter that people would get fat. They would see people dependent on little white pellets that they swallowed to make themselves feel better. People today would seem alien to the Mayan people. And so how could a predictive calendar be of use to aliens?

So the world is ending: The world's ending so we can enter a new world of our own creation. This ending doesn't come in a day it's been coming for years. Our lives are entirely different than that of our great-grandparents lives. There's economic changes going on and power shifting to Asia. Technology is speeding up and innovation is happening...sometimes for better and sometimes for worse. We interact with our world differently than those from the past.

How does this affect us? During this time, the time of endings and new beginnings, people can get a little freaked out. They start to cling to what they have and try to keep things from changing. But the people who can change and do change will be the ones who prosper. This ending of the Mayan calendar signals our need to adapt. We need to figure out what we want and boldly take the steps to manifesting the life of our dreams. We can't wait any longer. Time is up.

What you can do right now: From a practical standpoint you need to take whatever you do each day and challenge yourself to try something different. You can change big things, like career, relationships, residences, but even changing small things will create new neural pathways in your brain and bring you new creative ideas and energy, the butterfly effect. Changing small things will help you manifest new energy and opportunities. Here's a short list of things to consider trying.

Try sleeping on the other side of the bed. Brush your teeth with the other hand. Have dinner for breakfast. Find a new route to work. Shop at a different grocery store. Go a whole day without TV. Bake cookies and take them over to the Senior Center. Wash your hair in the kitchen sink. Put a leash on the cat and take him for a walk. Take a drawing pad to a coffee shop and sketch. Submit a resume to a new company. Ask a neighbor to go to Zumba with you. RSVP for the oddest meetup group you can find.

Sometimes the smallest change can lead to a whole new life. The old world is ending and a new one will begin. And those of us who can adapt will survive and prosper.

One more thought: So the world may not have a literal end right now but I'm a California girl and seen my share of earthquakes, fires and floods, so Mayan Calendar aside I have a week's worth of food, water and medications (including pet food) stored in my pantry. If you don't have your emergency supplies ready this is a good time to get it together. You never know how whacky people can be when you combine holiday shopping with a predicted apocalypse.
