Secrets and Revenge: Saturn goes into Scorpio

NASA's Cassini spacecraft took some amazingly clear pictures of Saturn recently. And from these pictures NASA has constructed a natural color portrait of the ringed planet. In this picture the rings of Saturn casts a shadow on Saturn itself and Saturn's largest moon, Titan, is shown in orbit. The picture makes Titan looks small, but actually Titan is larger than the planet Mercury.

Last week Saturn ended its transit in Libra and moved into Scorpio. Saturn will stay in Scorpio for about 30 months. Saturn in Scorpio urges us to delve more deeply into issues regarding relationships and partnerships. We become more serious about our finances and investments. And we become aware of the differences between our personal values and what other people value.

Saturn in Scorpio brings our attention to our investments. Saturn, the planet of restriction, will depress some stock market sectors, specifically reducing the profits of insurance companies, weapons manufacturers, and funeral homes, as well as environmental and pollution control companies. These types of companies will start to show the repression of Saturn around January 2013.

Saturn's recent exit from the sign of Libra could have caused an important relationship of yours to become unbalanced or even severed. During the next couple of months you have an opportunity to transform that relationship, to change it into something both parties want. However steps should be taken to mend the relationship before January 2013 or else you will find it is beyond repair.

Saturn in Scorpio will bring is a desire to keep secrets. You will be able, if you're paying attention, to get a read on people more easily. To keep people from reading you, release old baggage, let go of childhood hurts and pains from previous relationships. This will open you up to a supportive relationship based on understanding and respect

Saturn going through Scorpio can make us jealous, judgmental of others and bring on destructive urges for revenge. The greater use for Saturn in Scorpio is to transform the relationship to make it better. Jealousy, suspicion, and guilt will make you weak and unable to hold on to the relationship you want to keep.

Saturn in Scorpio brings a desire to rid ourselves of compulsions and obsessions. There is a focus on self discipline and commitment to health and well-being. We feel stronger and more confident, trusting ourselves that the decisions we're making are correct ones.

Saturn Leaves Libra: Time to Plan, Prepare and Declutter

Of all the planets, Saturn has the most noticeable affect on our lives. Saturn is about the practical, things like our career and reputation in the world. Saturn is about restrictions and the things we feel hold us back in life. And Saturn is about achievement and our desire to do better than we've done before. 

Saturn takes about two and a half years to go through a sign and right now it's getting ready to leave Libra (a place where it's actually happy) and go into Scorpio (where it's less happy). So if you've felt a little crazed with the amount on your plate this week, it's Saturn. And this feeling is going to last from now until October 6^th. Here's how to use this manic energy in a beneficial way.

It's time to declutter. When Saturn leaves a sign it is a signal it's time to clean and clear out the old to make room for the new projects coming. Lay out your unwanted items on a table, snap a few pictures and make a list of what's going to each charity. Then load everything in a box and truck it on over there. Drop the list into your tax file along with the charity receipt and upload your photos into your tax folder and you'll be all ready for next April.

It's time to be secure. Saturn going into Scorpio reminds us that we need to be careful even when we toss stuff. So this is a good time to catch up on your shredding. Shredding is the best way to keep your private information out of the hands of strangers who might be digging through your trash. If it's too much to shred yourself consider going to a shredding service. Ones I've been to will let you watch as they destroy your stuff.

It's time to be prepared. It just so happens that Saturn is leaving Libra in September, National Preparedness Month. It's time to plan. Saturn is the planet that rules achievement. Now is a good time to write out a plan for the next two and a half years. Write a list of what you want to accomplish in your career, financially, physically and personally. Print out the list and tape it to the back page of your dayplanner. That way you'll see it again in a few months and you can gauge your progress.
